The House of God

Hello everone.
This week's blog is brought to you by the Translation team.

I'm not a very religious man, but I love to visit churches.
Tall rib-vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, huge pipe organs... for me they still inspire awe.

Each time I return to Belgium for the holidays, I make sure to visit a couple of churches.
Last holiday season, one of the churches I visited was the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp.

The cathedral is popular with Japanese tourists, because of it's appearance in A Dog of Flanders.
As I am not very familiar with the story of Nello and Patrasche, I mainly went to admire the astonishing artwork that is kept in the cathedral.
The combination of the paintings and the awe-inspiring architecture of the cathedral creates a special atmosphere, which I enjoy very much.

If you ever find yourself in Belgium, I do recommend to visit some of our churches as well.
