To Buy or Not to Buy

I’ve been looking to buy a new computer to use every day on the go. I enjoy making lots of fun stuff on my computer while people watch for ideas and inspiration. For this, it’s important that I have a computer that can do some moderately difficult functions, but that is also light with a long battery life.

A year ago, I decided to buy a 2-in-1 Windows computer. This would enable to me to create and test applications as both a PC and mobile user. I would also be able to sell my current tablet, which is just sitting on my desk collecting dust. Figuring this would be the best way to kill 2 birds with one stone, I started looking for an affordable 2-in-1.

I decided to buy a Refurbished HP Split x2. At first, it was exactly what I wanted, but after a few months, its flaws started to rear their heads. I guess it’s true what they say: “Buy cheap, buy twice.” So this time around, my plan is to buy the newest machine at a bit higher price. Although I’ve always hated being a beta tester for hardware, I figure investing in a well-supported machine is worth a shot.
